My Digital Product Business Expenses Last Month

My Digital Product Business Expenses Last Month

LESS than a weekend takeout!

I don’t have a team. I don’t pay for ads. I don’t use fancy tools

When I was starting, I always thought about the expenses of running an online business.

I used to spend hours searching for business expenses in my niche.

I bought many subscriptions but never used them. Just because either left the business or completely forgot about it.

I think many can relate to this.

I have strongly advised going for $0 investment business, at least at the start. Because. Once you earn some money, only then invest back into the business.

First earn. Then invest. Simple.

Here’s exactly how I did it & the free tools I use –

10 Types of Digital Products I’ve Personally Experimented With

This is what my expenses looked like —

I am only adding my writing business. I have an Instagram business too, but the expense is still LOW.

  1. ChatGPT -> free
  2. Google Docs -> free
  3. Google Sheets -> free
  4. Gumroad/Beacons — free
  5. Canva -> free
  6. Internet — $50/month (literally the only thing I pay for)

That’s it.

My Top Free Blogging Platforms in 2025

I don’t use fancy tools. I don’t have paid subscriptions.

Still earning from multiple income streams.

Sometimes when experimenting, my expenses go up, but I try to stay within a limit. This is what I used last month —

I use what’s available.

  • free tools
  • free platforms (I prefer cheap platforms)
  • digital products ($0 investment)
  • Medium traffic — free (paid subscription option available too)

SIMPLE system = CONSISTENT cashflow!

I Turned My Hobby Into Digital Products

10 years into Digital Business, what I’ve learned:

I made many mistakes during my journey. Some I highly regret.

If you are starting out, then just chill. Go with the available options. No need for fancy setups. Simplicity always rocks.

No need to put your hard-earned money into a business you are not sure about.

  • No need to invest in 10 subscriptions to get started — ONLY free options at the start. Then go for paid options for better revenue.
  • There is no thing as a perfect startup — I have spent days testing out platforms. Later, I realized all are good. Don’t give much thought to the setup. You can change that later.
  • Less is always more. Just start and stick with it! Have only 1–2 tools and one platform.

Low-ticket vs High-ticket Digital Products: What I Learned After 1000 Sales

MOST OF MY INCOME comes from free platforms PLUS my consistent efforts

Really big secret that many creators don’t tell!

I know creators whose expenses are not even $100 but make $5000 per month. No ads. No team. But consistent work and the right platforms.

This is what I use currently. Only for my writing business.

  • ebooks (Google Docs)
  • Covers (Canva)
  • Traffic (Medium)
  • Funnels (Gumroad)
  • Sales (Gumroad)
  • Ideas (Amazon Bestseller List)

I Tested 10 Different Digital Products

Start a digital business with $0

I don’t need:

  • $100/month tools
  • $30/month email software
  • $40/month website

The only thing I need:

  • ONE product I dearly love
  • Minimalist setup
  • Traffic from the platform, I spend most of my day on 🙂

How I Make Money Selling Digital Products on Medium

I am not a fan of BIG business.

I love small businesses that can be done ALL ALONE.

And still make four figures at the end of the month.

And believe me, this is truly possible.

See you soon!
