10 Types of Digital Products I’ve Personally Experimented With

low-priced products OUTPERFORM high-priced ones

From my newsletter, published on 11/06/2025.

I have been selling digital products for 10 years now.

In my experience, low-priced products OUTPERFORM high-priced ones — they are easier to sell, scale faster, and attract a wider audience.

Here are 10 types of digital products I’ve personally experimented with. This is the only list you’ll ever need.

1. Ebooks (my FAV)

  • Pick a niche problem — see what others are creating in your niche
  • Keep it short — I prefer under 10k word count.
  • Sell it on Beacons, Stan store or even your own site — You can also sell it to the marketplaces like Amazon, Creative Fabrica, Etsy and so on.

2. Notion Templates

  • Design with a clear use case (ex, calendar, budget tracker) — I initially created it for tracking my finances. So if I made a list of what I actually wanted, like categories-wise report, weekly report, income vs expense, etc.
  • Use clean layouts. Include instructions as well — If you hate writing, then a video tutorial is another option too.
  • Promote in Notion communities — I found this community really awesome. But I see creators prefer Etsy as well.

3. Canva templates

  • Choose high-demand formats like resumes, Instagram posts — Pick only one. First test and then add more according to your customers’ needs.
  • Editable links bring in more sales — Many creators buy premade templates. So make sure they can edit and put info according to their needs.
  • Etsy is best for selling these templates — the Best place I’ve found so far.

4. Printables

  • Focus on evergreen niches (planners) — Trendy are good, but evergreen always brings in consistent sales.
  • A4/US letter is the perfect size
  • Bundles on Etsy perform better — No need to bundle up all your printables. You can create a bundle of 3 templates or 5, too. Make sure that they are in one niche. Those who buy Grocery shopping printables will like to buy a Meal planner as well. So this can be sold as ONE BUNDLE.

5. Mini digital courses

  • Video, Audio, worksheets, or PDF — I prefer PDF more. But depends on the niche. Like for kids, Videos and worksheets are the best. This goes well if busy parents are your target audience.
  • Shorts are always better — I always stick to shorter products because it helps me to keep quality in check. And I know people look for a faster solution nowadays. No one wants to read 100–200 page ebooks. Doens’t matter even if I take years to create it.
  • Sell on marketplaces—There are many. I have already covered every marketplace in my previous articles.

6. Presets or filters

  • Target creators for better profits (influencers, bloggers)
  • Include before and after examples
  • Customer feedback helps a lot with better sales.

7. Swipe files

  • Curate real and proven examples
  • Sales pages, captions, and emails sell better in this niche
  • For marketing, Instagram, Threads, and email lists are the best

8. Toolkits or resource bundles

  • Bundles will outperform all products listed above — Should be in related niches.
  • Keep products simple yet powerful — People don’t like complex systems that take time to set up. Create in such a way that customers don’t even have to look at the instruction manual at all!
  • Offer as it’s the one-stop solution — First-time buyers won’t buy from you directly. First, offer small solutions, then sell bundles.

9. Digital Wallpapers

  • For Desktops, tablets, and phones — I have seen phones sell better.
  • Aesthetics are more saleable — Pinterest can be very useful for color palettes and inspiration.
  • Etsy is topmost for buyers in this niche — I highly recommend selling on the Etsy marketplace.

10. Audio products

  • Requires time and effort to make audio — For busy solopreneurs, best to hire a professional in this field.
  • More demand compared to e-books — No doubt. I see people read less now. They prefer videos and audio more. They can listen to audio while doing their work.
  • Include high-quality MP3s and also the usage terms — Many platforms reject if the quality is not met. Keep this in mind. I’ll recommend taking help from a freelancer. I prefer Fiverr more, but Upwork can be really cheap. It’s totally up to you.
  • Findaway Voices is popular right now — This is actually good if you don’t want to upload to individual marketplaces. This platform will distribute your audio to all audio marketplaces at once.

Conclusion

The list is long. Like, I sell Google Sheet Templates too. I see audiobooks are making a high sale right now.

It’s not the product type that will make you money. But what do you like to create? What is more suitable for your audience?

Like for me, Audios and Ebooks are the best. And I can create them easily. I have free tools like Audacity, Google Docs, Calibre, etc, for creating my digital products.

Find that one digital product you really care about.

After that, selling becomes easy. Trust me.
